Prior to working with our team, Olympic Party Hire found sourcing reliable vehicles to be a challenge - they dealt with untrustworthy vehicles in the past and it affected their business’ productivity. 

“Before we became involved with Hino we used to use some vans, and they used to break down a lot, and they were unreliable,” said Matt Roberts, one of three brothers who founded Olympic Party Hire 10 years ago. 

CMI Hino Adelaide approached the Olympic Party Hire team in 2015 to demonstrate the benefits of adding Hino Trucks to their fleet. After learning more about their reliability, safety and technology, Olympic Party Hire were eager to build a relationship with our team. They also found the ease and availability of financing with Toyota Finance an added benefit - this lead them to making their first purchase of a Hino 300 Series. And so began their relationship with the CMI Hino Adelaide team. 

“We were introduced to the Hino 300 with a Pantech on the back and our first purchase was one of them through Toyota Finance. That was about eight or nine years ago now, and since then, periodically, probably every six months, we were purchasing another 300 series,” explained Matt.

Since acquiring their first Hino more than eight years ago, Olympic’s fleet of 22 vehicles includes 20 Hino trucks, ranging from 300 Pantech’s, 616 series wide cabs, a mixture of new and old 500 series, as well as several larger 500 series trucks with tray backs for carting marquees and larger items.

“With us, we need to get to events. We need to be there on time. We need to get set up on time,” said Matt. “The main thing is they have been reliable. I don’t think one of our Hino trucks has ever broken down.”

As a result of reliability and a great relationship with our team, Olympic Party Hire have since integrated marquee hire trays, septic pumping bodies and party hire Pantech’s into their Hino’s.

The technology that Hino Connect provides is also an added benefit for the Olympic team thanks to being able to track each Hino’s performance and location when out on the roads of South Australia.

“All the vehicles are fitted with telematics that can tell you who is driving, and whether they are moving or idling. We use it to coordinate the use of the vehicles,”
