Bathurst’s legendary Mt Panorama track will see the debut of a new vehicle, albeit larger than usual, at this month’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 in the form of an all-new Hino 500 Series FE1424 recovery truck.
As the Official Recovery Truck at select Virgin Australia Supercars Championship events, the Hino 500 Series FE1424 will add important rescue and recovery capability for the event organisers.
The Hino 500 Series recovery truck distinctive livery will also display support from Truck Assist, which is also Hino Australia’s roadside assistance partner.
“Hino is delighted to expand our Supercars partnership in this very practical way,” said Bill Gillespie, General Manager Brand and Franchise Development, Hino Australia.
“Our Supercars program has already been a very successful platform for generating brand exposure and engagement with both our dealer network and customers.
Already a strong supporter of Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, Truck Assist is the naming rights partner for the Truck Assist Winton round of the Supercars series, and is also enthusiastic about this new initiative.
“Speed and total reliability is of the absolute essence for the Official Recovery Truck, as it is with our Truck Assist roadside assistance services, so it makes sense to partner with Hino in this program,” said Alan Hasted, General Manager, Truck Assist.
“Supercars is a vibrant environment in which many of our customers are engaged, so our involvement is a great way to leverage those relationships and develop new business opportunities.”
The Official Recovery Truck will also be in action at the Gold Coast, Sandown, Newcastle, Townsville and the 2020 Sydney SuperNight rounds of the Championship.
Last year, Hino confirmed a second three-year sponsorship of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship which includes its appointment as the Official Light & Medium Duty Truck and Bus Sponsor.
